Two-Voice Tanka, Thrice

bathed in such splendor in front of us blue water - verdancy behind how very cold it is though like ice, it cuts to the bone   this frigid beauty I let my eyes feast on it ignoring the cold the scent of pine is wafting I breathe in tranquility   breathing in fragrance I let the iciness go my love shall warm me the fresh trees and ocean air can’t compare to his sweet warmth July 14, 2017 for the Contest of John Anderson

This is truly beautiful Andrea. I was hoping for someone to show me how it is done. This got the job done well. - Dean

connie, it's a lover. At first, I had the final two lines as a separate person conversing with the other, but then I reread the rules of this contest and realized he wanted all the lines to come from the SAME person, so this person is kind of talking back and forth to herself (about the man she is with)

You certainly are a romantic. I find the last two lines to be very sweet. I am in the middle of a troublesome relationship. It is hard to figure out women sometimes - but I guess you think the same about men. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

I admire the buildup of these three Tanka, Andrea. Frigidness has a beauty of its own, but nothing beats love's warmth! Regards // paul
