Twisted Tell-All
I am fall down dark
The lights fade me out in smoke and heat
I’ve got a black light glow at my back
Tonight’s a tell-all and I need to let you know
I can’t watch her twisting razors
I can’t stand it anymore
I get itchy when she’s working
Tonight’s a tell-all and I need to let you know
She uses it on clothes and props and fiddles with the blade
Clicking in and clicking out
She sits and clicks it and the sound won’t go away
Tonight’s a tell-all and I need to let you know
I know it’s sharp and so very nice
But I have pushed that dark away
She doesn’t know I had to fight it
She can’t know it still won’t go away
Tonight’s a tell-all and I need to let you know
Hun, please stop
The razor bothers me
It’s been so hard to make it go away
I can whittle wood without caving
I can cook and not dive for red
But the clicking and twisting it makes me itch
I’ll be home tomorrow, so just for now
Please put that pretty blade away
I can deal with pocket knives and I can with silverware
But god, a bare razor laughs at me
It calls and pleads for me to hold
Tonight’s a tell-all and I need to let you know
