Twilight of Resilience
Twilight of Resilience
The light of dreams still glows,
Though mirrors were the expectation:
lies dormant, yet flickers like
a log on a low fire.
Reflecting the vital duration
of a slow dawn, eternity is now.
Where is infinite,
if not in the succession of developing?
Like the boomerang returning,
As a rubber band snaps back!
Stirs a resurrection from the dead
Before the third count, you're counted out.
The light is still there.
Who lights a candle only to hide it
In the dark?
This is no daydream in waves of time.
She yearns to be revealed,
And a million moons will light the way.
Beneath the twinkling stars,
that basked in victory,
a gentle mist of hope
washes over her seeds.
A fragile heart resounds.
As the wondrous moment you were born.
Take a breath from the sun:
It is the dawn that paused to breathe.
The sunlight reflects so beautifully off you,
Even as the fire flickers,
In its flames, at twilight.
