  Van Gogh

Long ago at twilight we pledged our sweet love amid trees stretching stark and bare Yet at our rendezvous the very next night I was alone in my despair Now in the sunset of my days, again In the pastoral Eden I stand with you In a bliss beyond love, our souls coalesce as we begin our lives anew

Love your take on Van Gogh's painting Robert. You compliment the painting with your clever and thoughtful words. If I was a clairvoyant I would bet Van Gogh is enjoying a glass of wine admiring your Poetic response to his painting. Just a thought. This one is a favorite my friend...

Thank you for your generous compliment and fave, I don't know if Van Gogh is toasting me with a drink, but I hope he has peace of mind and is feeling better. My best, Robert

The couple in the depths of the woodlands is mysterious and very romantic as well. I find this simplification of Van Gogh's complex art piece, a peaceful love. Beautiful!

Depths of feeling and communication weather sad or joyful are always cathartics and healing. Thank you for your apt response, Robert

It must be because Valentine's Day is near, and puts me in a pensive melancholy mood, Kim thank you for your comment. Robert
