Twelve Roses

A single rose he gave to me as sweet a gesture as could be. My roommate grinned with guile as she tried to hide her smile. Eleven roses, she held with glee!

Hello Linda, I loved your limerick and felt it makes the reader think. Perhaps he is more in love with her roommate. Perhaps he did not send anything, and the roommate bought a dozen roses and shared one, saying he must have sent it. I love it when poems like this have their own twist. - Blessings, Daniel
