Turning My Back On Pain
Years ago when I was stuck in my youth
I drowned in loneliness and was forsaken.
Rays ascended in the tangerine eventide
and no longer did my eyes see ebon pain.
So I linger into lavender fields showering
my soul with sights of undying emerald.
No longer am I a willow weeping with
fear and remorse scarring my bare skin.
Thank you....
I am at peace with my back turned away
from all things that bestow sorrowful fear.
I shall walk in the light towards the sun-
since all my anguish has come undone.
