Turn On

Turn off the telly, turn on the phone Don’t trust what your eyes see, the optics are wrong Turn off the radio, turn on the phone Don’t believe what your ears hear, the sound bytes waves are weak not strong The only thing that is true, are the tweets I’m texting to you The only thing that ain’t a lie, is my Twitter alibi So turn the phone on, and get smart Don’t get dumb, give the telly the down turned thumb Turn everything off, except the phone Let my tweets inform you of everything that’s going on

Can you imagine if we all actually did that? Anyway, I don't tweet, nor does my cell text.

I know of whom you speak but some of us have outdated cell phones so I was thinking of a land line at first. Well expressed thoughts on a tough situation.
