Tumbling Down

Tumbling down By Nate Spears Published in 2012 Main Street Poems by Nate Spears Zoom in closer It’s as clear as a jumbo screen Get rich or die younger Is the objective in streets In high definition Not amused by funny City transportation is tumbling With high velocity; and Unlawful might Parading clowns to jail by night Death is the only alternative now In high definition Ignorance has ruined the day Intelligence has fled away Into the night’s air Abandoning a new day With no traces of existence Horror is the daily mission Education is the new fight But, hasn’t it always been.
