Trying Something New At Harvest

TRYING SOMETHING NEW AT HARVEST Tis, the season of fall again; Fallen leaves, leaves fall down such a trend; When shall the rains that pour down; Find within them to be brown; Farther away birds flee, ooh wee; The earth spins slower away from the sun; Spiders spinning webs in basements they run; As I myself dance with the pigs; At harvest; (It has rained) Muddy hands and feet; Birds breaking branches gather twigs; For one last surge of life; Baby birds tweets-tweeting from noon to night; Alas autumn fall’s harvest; Birds flock heading south and west; I myself trying something new; I lay down on the ground on my back; What a view; So much to grasp; Trying something new at harvest; 10/17/18 Trying Something New Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Nina Parmenter
