Troubled Waters Go On By
Life is filled with many troubled waters
coming in many shapes and forms
we need our bridge to cover ill waters
for it's strong overcoming many storms
Some waters are deeper than others
so shallow are some others real deep
right up to our ankles so little water
causing a drought except when we weep
There again depth has so much
filling clouds over our very head
threatening to burst out upon us
not much time let's go to bed
Water is so great full of weight
it washes away all in sight
if it's on your side you're a winner
but leaves you with a nasty bite
My heart speaks so clear
troubled waters go on by
for my bridge is my anchor
holding on don't let me die!
(I have written this in respect of the great song 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters' by Simon and Garfunkel.)
