Tribute To Holocaust Survivors

Never Can I begin to Comprehend How could I ever Understand what you went though Imagine what your eyes have seen Fathom what your ears have heard Feel the hunger that ravaged your body Comprehend the savage cruelty endured Day after day In the streets then in the camps Nowhere to hide or run Can’t even pretend to grasp The meaning of Extermination of loved ones Evil staring you in the eye Godless droids overtaking the world Bulldozing all in their path While the universe Stands by in disbelief How does one pick up and carry on Beyond the nightmare AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Submitted on November 6, 2018 for contest FAVOURITE POEM FROM DECEMBER 2017 sponsored by JULIA WARD and December 6, 2017 for contest MOVE ME, AND OTHERS sponsored by MADISON DEMETROS

This is sensitively expressed. I wrote a piece called "The Tolerant Man" Written from a Nazi's perspective. I is a companion piece for another poem I wrote call "Tolerance". You might find both pieces of interest.

I can only echo your beautiful sentiments the way you felt in your poem. Sometimes it is difficult to describe evil. Well done, my friend.

Yes, an echo, a reverberation of evil. You have succinctly made us feel the utter disbelief. Sends cold shivers. I wrote one called “Alone At The Holocaust Museum” if you would like to read. Great work, Line!

Thank you, Kim. I have read your poem and thought it was wonderful - your lay-out really added to the drama. I'm sure I left a comment.
