Tremolo Torrents - Anacreontic

Tremolo Torrents – 12-20-23 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tremolo Torrents Thundering fat raindrops fall, Driven deluge in wild squalls, Gossamer drops stream in waves Quivering mists pour like raves, Frenzies of clear crystal pearls Hang from boughs in flawless swirls Downpours shiver in rain flows Swallow remnants of rainbows, Tremolo thunder prepares Hot ripples through static air As torrents pelt thirsty ground Sheer rain staccatos resound Each drop reflects lightning’s fire, Pivots wildly with desire, Tempest’s fury rides the storm Wind-swept raindrops leap free form.

Dearest Inky, Happy New Year! What a wonderful way to start the new year with your beautiful, detailed feedback! Truly a rainstorm has its own melody, beat and tempo. There is a birch tree outside my office window. In a storm rain droplets cling to the thin branches and look like crystal pearls and I can hear each drop hit the ground like a beat on a drum. In the northwest rain doesn't stop us from much - we put on our raingear, put up our umbrellas and keep going! I love a rainy day and the lullaby of rainy nights!
