Tree of Gratitude
God, please grant me to accept the things I cannot change.....
And when I seek you in my prayers...
I'll find your answers in the rose...
And when I cannot see beyond my nose
To see the joy in all the good
What I eat, where I sleep, who I'm with, clothes I wear...
I thank you for the sun that shines, streaming still, each morning fair
Thank you for the evening star, staring back, in solitaire
Thank you for the family near, for familiar faces, filled hearts to share
Thank you for a respite place, to return and rest, when life's not fair
Thank you for a helping hand, a faithful friend, that soothes my tears
Thank you for ability, agility, that keeps my mind aware..
Thank you for guiding me, the good advice, if doubt is there
Thank you for another chance, when careless choices bring despair
Thank you for my fervent faith, when trust and hope have disappeared
Like a garland that is given me, in gold and garnet leaves
I am grateful for what's been granted me....I am grateful for my tree...
