Touch Me - Dusk

warmth

fading

at sunset

cooler breezes

evoke slight goose bumps

or perhaps they are caused

by the spectral reflection

of sky colors kissing the sea

overwhelmed by many sensations

dusk evolves slowly in the April sky

I shiver, knowing Holy Saturday

pulls curtains of anguish to a close

remaining awake to see dawn

tapping Resurrection’s hope

wrapping my weary heart

sensing salvation

as Christ rises

Easter morn

love brings

joy

I am back to this warm piece about dusk! No wonder it has been hit so much; it's awesome. Want to first say I am glad u are feeling better enough to peck at your computer keys awhile...continue your recovery! Feel better SOON! Also, appreciate your tho'ts on my Scotland piece. Every time there is a new contest I have to read about new topics...this one was fun...yes, those fellas were UNICORNS. Happy Monday! Gwendolen

A great poem. Good luck in the contest. Thanks for your comment on my "city by the bay" poem. Live in California for 15 years. Just an hours ride from SF. Love the city and miss it greatly. Hope you can visit it again. If we do ©o back, I am afraid I will not be able to leave. Take care, Jancarl

A great poem for Nette's contest. She sees many gorgeous sunsets in the Philippines; this will certainly stir her passion for them even more. I am inspired by resurrection's hope...An Easter sky where the colors kiss and evoke goosebumps..nice poem for this a.m. :) Gwendolen

what a wonderful way to combine Easter with the contest, CArolyn. This one is sure to do well. And certainly fits the theme of touch/touched by CHrist's love!

You must be so lucky living where you can see the sunset's reflection on the sea... i miss that, but it is in my distant plans to settle around the Indian Ocean or Lake Victoria. thinking of those beautiful sunsets in the far future gives me goosebumps already... exactly that moment when the sun kisses the ocean, its pure magic! >thanks for fueling my desire for that future Carol... the sunset imagery has really done it for me... i hope Nette feels it too.
