Too Much To Ask
I'm not sure how the future will unfold;
COVID is scary; many are alone.
I don't want to believe the worst I'm told;
but fueled by the news, my fears have grown.
I rely upon my TV and phone
to keep me informed and tell me the truth.
And yet, lies and fake news threaten our youth
because now, some refuse to wear a mask.
And public parties attract the uncouth,
as if saving lives is too much to ask.
