Too Distant To Come Closer
We are way too distant,
it's very sad to count miles and know
that we'd worry more if we lived apart:
nights would feel closer than snow,
kisses would be hidden under the pillow...
to make each heartbeat grow!
Who can bear this distance longer,
who's weaker when it comes to crying?
Who's stronger to resist a big hug
when wait is gone with its fear?
We are way too distant,
we must hold on to this precious wish,
not waste it or taste it in a rush;
we are way too distant
ignoring reality as it weren't there,
what will we receive if we can't share?
We are too distant to come closer,
every heart has a devotion or a passion to pursue,
every star may seem to be happy or miserably blue;
people have feelings, stars wait for light to disappear!
No, we are too distant to come closer,
we fail each time; nothing is in our favor.
