Too Broken To Fly

TOO BROKEN TO FLY With her heartache held in such fragile cupped hands, She’s screaming inside, because no one understands, Her heart imploded by the thoughts of being alone, It was the assumption of facing this life, all on her own, Her poor tears soak the ground like droplets of rain, And one can only imagine the full depths of her pain, Such a beautiful face where a smile once used to be, I sympathize for her, wishing this world could see, She doesn’t deserve the anguish and harsh self-doubt, Just look to her heart and you’ll see what she’s about, I wish this world would quit bringing her so far down, And let her find happiness, dismissing her heart’s frown, She believes in angels and that’s how she gets by, She's one herself, but her wings are too broken to fly… -brad
