Tommy Said the S Word
Tommy said the S word.
I know from experience sometimes the S word is shut up, so I ask,
Can you say it?
She shakes her head ‘no’, eyes big.
What if he promises never to say it again, will that be good enough?
She shakes her head ‘no’.
I get the culprit.
Do you have any idea why she is upset?
Because I said the S word, he says.
Which S word?
The S word, he says, emphatically.
But which one?
The S word, the S word, the S word, he sings.
She screams loudly.
I look at her.
He did it again! She says.
Good grief.
