Today I Want To Write

Today I want to write my way – from morn to night! And so I make my start. Words flow right from my heart. To rhyme is such a blast. But time has gone too fast. A meal I must prepare. I feel half-done. NO FAIR! July 4, 2020 for Joseph May's Verses In Essence - 8 Lines Poetry Contest

I agree with every word you've written Andrea. Sometimes I feel like writing throughout the day but can't do so in reality. There's always some or the other obligation. Congratulations on your win. Much love :)

Obstacles seem to get in the way when poetic ideas flow we don’t want to stop, we just want to keep on writing. I can relate to this so well. Best of luck in the contest. xxoo

When I am on a rewriting roll and am interrupted it is frustrating at first. However, sometimes when I resume my ideas are better. I hope this is true for you also my friend.

Andrea, I know the feeling. Just order out some pizza when the writing is going good. Or PB & J sandwiches. Happy 4th of July! -Richard
