There is not a poem that you fail to read Or time that I’m away you don’t ask, “Why”? There is not a time when you don’t plant a seed Of joy into my heart when tears I cry You’ve helped me to believe in what I give Seen beauty in the silly lines I rhyme You’ve helped me want a better life to live And shown me Godly love time after time You will not leave my writes without a thought Oh what things need to change for smoother flow A friendship true like yours cannot be bought You’ve helped my heart to breathe, expand, and grow A Guardian poet you have been to me Accept my thanks and loyal constancy Jade (Eileen to you, Richard Lamoureux) This is my second poem by this title. Richard Lamoureux has been a constant friend, mentor, and guide. I so appreciate his integrity, honesty, and spirituality. He's encouraged me over the years I've been here.....to keep writing, to enter contests...and to believe in my self-worth, a precious gift. When I'm gone...he'll visit my older writes and leave a note. :) I've gained so much by reading his book- Dummy: Hurtful and Healing words which is so full of precious insights on the power of words to heal or destroy. Well I know this power. Well have I suffered because of it. People come and go...It's good to know some are there for the long haul. Some are there simply because they care...nothing more...nothing less. Thanks, Richard.

PD, thanks for your visit to my poem on Richard. It's been very hard for me to deal with management that doesn't answer my mail. Very hard indeed. I don't know how that even works. I've been gifted two PMs...so, it's obvious that I matter to some people. The fact that they won't answer my mail does discourage me a great deal. However, thanks for the visit and kindness you've shown me. It's much appreciated.

Richard would be hard pressed to suggest any editorial improvements here. Lovely salutation.

Yes, Richard knows my flaws. We have had one or two disagreements. All friends do, but we the friendship was too strong to let anything ruin it. He is dear to my heart. Thanks for the visit, Laura. Sorry I haven't been around to your latest. I have been...emotionally unwell. I have things to catch up on at work. Maybe...in a while...I'll pass by. Hugs to you.

A sonnet impeccably written as tribute to the man, the poet and your friendship. People and relationships bring color to our otherwise simple and quiet lives. Combined with skill, your talent brings our attention to the value of relationships, people and thoughts that matter. A 7. Best regards and kind wishes for your health and thesis, Eileen. Take care and God bless. Hugs! :)

I will always treasure that title. Read Flo's latest blog! She's back! Hugs BTS...this post was like the sweetest dessert ever!

I know, Eileen, that Richard is a guardian angel, and more. I loved the other poem which you dedicated to him; this one is also full of feeling and appreciation. Richard is a gentleman and his words exude positivity. This sonnet is a very fitting tribute. Hugs // paul

What I love about Richard is that he will never miss a write of mine....and when I'm not there...he will read an older write...which are as precious to me. :) That's a deep connection. I know time and circumstance happen to us all...but my words are so precious to me....When someone reads them consistently...I'm feel valued. :)

I have 3 copies of his book. One he gifted to me, and the other two I bought. I gave one as a present to my niece...and he wrote her a personal poem. It was very sweet of him. My family knows about him, and I often share his posts on my work. My sister-in-law will probably meet him in Kelowna one day. She's Canadian and has family living there. Wish I could too. :( One never knows....

Yes...the book is wonderful. It contains some of his poetry along with some narration leading up to it. Richard has a depth into human psyche. His writes touch me...He deals with real issues that we face everyday. Many of his poems in the past have been response poems to mine. I once wrote a prayer...To the Lifegiver. He wrote a wonderful response to it...The Lifegiver's Reponse...as though God were answering my prayer. It is very moving. He's also written a response poem to my Mirror, Lie to me. Yes, I'm blessed by his friendship as are so many here on the soup. :) Thanks for he visit. This is my second poem of dedication to him. I've also written...To the Colorblind Poet. He's written....To the Queen of the Romantic Pen...The Warrior Princess about me. We've collabed together on two writes...Dancing Coins.....and another one. He's helped me when I'm down. I felt the need to write this today. Thanks, Jan. Hugs
