To My Beautiful Daughter
shine on, my brightest star,
may you find your beauty from afar-
enriched in serenity, you bring such ease,
you’ll never know how lovely you are,
as all my sorrow did cease.
shine on, my constellation,
may you find peace in thy creation-
bound by blood are we my sweetest girl,
for you have brought me alleviation,
you are my entire world.
