To Karen My Beautiful Big Sis'

To: Karen My Beautiful Big Sis' Under the stairs but above the floor, Is where I found you broken and torn. You had all these afflictions in your own world, Must have been hard being a different kind of girl. Very short hair and a hat on your head, Images of you and the last words you said. Your soul so full of rainbows falling asleep every night, And downpour of rain come the dawns early light. A couple tattoos showing all your expressions, A few of them regarding your life's learned lessons. Just in case you were wondering if it is to be true, Yes, I still see your soul mate, and she'll always love you. My huge sweetheart of my lovely big sister, Creature by the night, and during the day, an endearing listener. Every time football just happens to be on the big screen, I remember how you loved U of M and hated white and green. Only a few will read this and understand my words, But that's ok your memory should still be heard. Emotions held so high that the sky is too low, Big brown eyes underneath a soft yellow halo. Angelic by nature who saved everyone but yourself, Manic all night, reading every book on the shelf. And what about all your amazing God given talent? Your smile ran deep but it was truly transparent. Of all the little things that I remember of loving you, Is all the yellow you carried, with a tiny hint of blue. Love you and miss you. 10-09-2015

I feel sorrow for you Laura, it's difficult to lose someone especially when you are left feeling helpless at the situation. Your poem is well written and lovely.
