To Face Tomorrow
I have tried to find peace.
I have tried to move on.
I want the silence to cease.
I want to look forward to dawn.
I accept that I will walk alone.
Into whatever lies ahead.
And what I do I will own.
I want look toward tomorrow without dread.
I will leave the shadows behind.
No longer allowing myself to hide.
Let light chase the darkness from my mind.
In the night, a star will be my guide.
I will no longer ask why.
I am weary of hearing my own voice.
And of course, there is no reply.
I just hear silence with all of its noise.
I need to open my eyes and see.
The reality that I have avoided for so long.
This is the only option left for me.
I will make right, my own wrong.
