To Face Tomorrow

I have tried to find peace. I have tried to move on. I want the silence to cease. I want to look forward to dawn. I accept that I will walk alone. Into whatever lies ahead. And what I do I will own. I want look toward tomorrow without dread. I will leave the shadows behind. No longer allowing myself to hide. Let light chase the darkness from my mind. In the night, a star will be my guide. I will no longer ask why. I am weary of hearing my own voice. And of course, there is no reply. I just hear silence with all of its noise. I need to open my eyes and see. The reality that I have avoided for so long. This is the only option left for me. I will make right, my own wrong.

Beyond the darkness is the light that awaits us, sometimes the road to it is a long one and we have to be patient and persevere. Hope you're well. Tom. I saw a western poem and it wouldn't let me comment and now it's gone?

Thank you Tom. Always enjoy hearing from you. Patience is a virtue, I keep telling myself. I really wrote that for my brother. I posted it and then changed my mind. Wasn't sure about leaving it. I can repost it for you. Thank you for reading it. I now remember your fondness for Westerns.

I love that ...let light chase the darkness from my mind. I can relate to this, and how I ask the question 'why' often . By the way, you are not alone, my friend :)

Thank you my friend. Do you think our "why" will ever be answered? We are not alone are we?
