To Each His Own Bed

When Ozzie & Harriet wed Censors decreed one to a bed* Desi & Lucy Never got juicy But McCarthy still dubbed them, "Red!" * It was not OK in the USA for married couples to share the same bed, but always OK for people and puppets to beat the crap out of each other, leaving Soup poets to wonder why people are so cruel!

During the McCarthy era, the easiest way to destroy a person's relationships and/or career was to dub them a Communist. My Top Secret Crypto Security Clearance cost taxpayers the equivalent of two beautiful homes in Beverly Hills to confirm that I was never a member of any of the THOUSANDS of religious and social organisations accused of being Communistic! At the time, most states prohibited interracial marriages and sex was illegal except between a married couple, and then ONLY in the missionary position! Good thing no cellphones then or most Americans would have been born in prison! Aloha!

didn't want a "pregnant" woman which was considered Tabu & dare if they said the word. Ricky & Lucy fought them all the way, until the head of CBS said "Don't mess with the Cuban. Happy Wed.

Many Members of Congress were enraged that a white woman would marry someone of a different race (illegal in most states at that time) and flaunt her pregnancy! Lucy proved humour can bring people together! Thank you for reading and commenting! Aloha!

Any sign of affection between male and female is still censored in the USA. Senator McCarthy was upset that Lucy, a "white" lady, married a "coloured" man and appeared to love him on TV, so they had to be communists as no American would behave like that! Aloha!
