To Change a Mind
A quiet voice can be your choice
Why yell or shout -- He'll hear you out
To change a mind requires no noise
But seeds of doubt to think about...
To plant them firm, first pave the way
Make soft the ground, with love all 'round
Massage his mind for sev'ral days
With message sweet, alluring sound
Then start to probe, so subtle, slow
With honeyed tongue and dullest knife
However far you need to go
You can't afford to deal in strife...
And when you know the time is right
Let go your bomb in volume slight
