Alex in Clockwork Orange is chosen to undergo aversion therapy to curb his criminality. Inadvertenly, Alex gets a dislike of classical music. Blinking causes the brain to go briefly off-line from what is seen, to dwell upon it, before opening up to the next scene.
The blink rate of great-tailed grackle is quicker in flight than on the ground. But, they hardly blink at all just before landing.
