I tried to mimic the meter of the well known poem TREES by Joyce Kilmer - 1886-1918

(Inspired by Joyce Kilmer's Trees)
I think that I should like to be
the entity known as a tree.
With nature’s laws I would conform,
cascading in a willow’s form.
I’d gladly green in early spring
when all the new birds start to sing.
My many slender limbs would sway
with every breezy golden day.
Sweet nectar from me bees could take,
and shade my leafy limbs would make.
Though tears might fall when heavens rain,
I’d weep for joy and feel no pain!
