~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have kept still like a stone, a tree, a dirt road, quiet and stoic yet I am wishing to gurgle and dance and oh, to be a river
Your skill in crafting a well-written Haiku, utilizing impressive vocabulary and vivid imagery, is truly admirable, dear Sara. The seamless intertwining of the two expressions conveys a profound and unspoken longing, effectively articulated.
I love rivers which I admired in my travels. No rivers really in Malta. We miss a lot.
I love rivers, too...something about watching the flow of the water as it travels. Didn't realize Malta had no rivers... :-( have a pleasant day, Sara
Ah this resonates so much and i can feel the longing to be free, like a river flowing so seamlessly! Ah the way you express is beyond amazing and the similes used here is truly moving. I love how youv said “ i have kept still like a stone” ah that hits home for me “ a tree” ive always felt that way, sometimes, due to circumstances, we feel stuck… what a meaningful write this is! And picture goes so well with your soulful words woven meticulously too, pleasure always reading your work.
