You're a horse with an idiot paint job, all zig-zaggy blacketty-white you stand out when you're in a snowdrift and can't even hide in the night. Outrunning a Cheetah you canna not graceful like any Gazelle for living out on the Savanna your life must be probably hell. I once tried your flesh on Safari at a camp where we had barbecue so to add insult to injury ugly Warthog tastes better than you. For contest 'To a …... ' sponsored by David Lindsay

This is hilarious. Did you know, like human fingerprints, zebra’s stripe patterns are uniquely theirs. I was looking for Dear God, came upon this gem, much enjoyed. Do you have any idea how many Dear God poems there are in search? Please send me the link. :)

Thanks, Sandra. Though they look the same, did you know there are different species? The Plains Zebra, the Quagga (great name), Burchell's, Grant's , Selous,Maneless, Chapman's, Crawshay's, Mountain, Cape Mountain and Hartmann's? You can't say you don't learn something new on the Soup. Viv x

Thanks, Andrea. Scientific research actually shows that a Zebra's background colour is black, and the white stripes came later. The White stripes had a hit in 2003 with 'Seven nation army', which got to number 76 in the Billboard top 100 in 2004. Viv x

I believe the males are black with white stripes, and the females are the other way round :) . Thanks for dropping by, Frederick. Regards, Viv
