I love to watch the sun
when day is not quite done,
and it starts to bleed red
where the clouds have been bled.
I smile as its last light
slowly sinks out of sight.
I love the twinkling stars
the reddish blush of Mars
chilly night winds that blow
and a full moon's soft glow.
Color in the night sky,
is a sign; dusk is nigh.
I love it when the rain
is in sync with my pain
and sheds tears just for me,
so everyone can see.
Drop by drop, tear by tear,
it masks my hidden fear.
I love the times we knew,
and the things that we'd do.
