Time's a Thief, Love's a Lie
Time's a Thief, Love a Lie
Bob Dylan, Ima Gen, and B. Marquardt-Alexander
He'll miss the mark, she'll miss the sign,
Betrayal's a wound, a bitter wine.
Her life unfolds, a silent plea,
No right to judge, yet sorrow I see.
Love's fragile dance, a whispered vow,
Shattered now, a fading glow.
A goodbye kiss, a lingering ghost,
Holding on, a heavy cost.
He seeks anew, a heart ablaze,
For another's love, in a different maze.
Trust erodes, a fragile thread,
Waning hope, a tear unshed.
