Sometime, I want to spend some time Listening to the love that has always been mine, Love, written in the eyes – of a mother, Her heart is so kind – oh, my, she is so kind! Sometime, I want to spend some time Watching every leaf that dances by, in autumn When the winds whisper and sigh, With rhythmic verses, visions and variations Of what it means to believe, what it means to see The forest for the trees – oh, yes, I see! Sometime, I want to spend some time Embracing the silence as the silence seems to roar, Breaking through the still calm of a winter heart, Healing the gasping moments with insights, Breathing hope into the spirit who decides… Accepting the shadows as they play quietly in the light, Means letting go of the past, with all its fear And releasing those tears, … so many unshed fears! Sometime, I want to spend some time Healing from the darkness that cast its spell on my life, Dark words, dark sorrows, darkest despair, Questioning every blessing, disapproving of every dream, Dreading the moments who spread their peace, Those moments reflected by the good that lives in those who believe, The good that comes from knowing, God can do anything! Sometime, I want to spend some time Remembering those fleeting glimpses of my life, When I was struggling, when I was lighthearted as the breeze, The zephyr joys that lived within my hopes and dreams, The lasting wonders that foretold of all that life would bring, The music that played as life surrounded me… With satisfaction, enchanting every part of my faith, Embracing me with pleasure that could never be faked, Inspiring me to listen to the wings that don’t fade, Wings from angels who have stirred my soul with sweet grace! Sometime, I want to spend some time Reflecting on those moments that seemed so silent, Yet they spoke of love that would never die, Feelings that last throughout life, Blessings that will forever abide, Blessings of joy, peace and insight… Courage to believe and never let go of His hand, The One who reminds me – He will always understand! Sometime, I want to spend some time Inviting those around me to take off their masks, to shine Like the morning sun or the stars who glisten through the night skies, For they have given me more light, more life, more lessons Than I could possibly reveal with one verse, It has been them, those who surrounded me in this life, Who have guided me, directed me, blessed me… With messages from God’s own design! Sometime, I want to spend some time Just thanking God for all the love I have known, Love that is more beautiful than anything I could have imagined, Love that lives on… through the tears, the fears, the years… Always blessing, always protecting, always allowing me to hear The music of God’s choir, His endless gift of love, playing in my ear… My lesson – love is the gift that will never stop giving. Love is the reason and it’s always in season. Love is the basis for every time I’ve thought – This time, I’ll make it through the storm. This time, I’ll find the time to give back. This time, I’ll get my time here figured out! Sometime, I want to spend some time Reflecting the love that God gave to me, It’s timeless and it’s the only way time needs… To realize the wonder of a love that paid for me!

I don't have the words to express how I felt as I read your poem this morning. I share your 'sometimes' wishes. I take delight in seeing how your thoughts and words echo my own. Loved every aspect of this subtly powerful poem. Blessings, Sara
