Timeless Essence

The birch has its bark ghostly white She is beautiful but makes for sad sight For lumberjack might cut her tomorrow or even tonight Thereby extinguishing her light The majestic visage of purple clouds reflects in the lake Sun plays shadows with the clouds at day break The subtle birch grows on shore by that lake Suns’ rays underline her spirit as sun is about to wake The thunder will burn across the sky As clouds grow darker birch will cry For she knows one day she will die But more than that she has no feet much less wings so she will never fly Yet something gives her hope for before fall Reflected in lake was theory of all The vision of supreme glory entered birches soul And she found divine understanding within last fundamental place of the soul Now birch will no longer cry As she looks to the endless linen blue sky Above her eagles will fly For she knows now her spirit will never die Now the birch will see That as she looks upon purple clouds majesty With Gods destiny being reflected in mere infinity The volume of her spirit will set her free For what about the spirit is sublime Its essence defeats the very time The peak after hard climb Is to reach the essence of the soul in one’s lifetime
