Time Vs Time

Time is not justly counted by increments...

like a pie all crust can have space without filling
it disappoints –

too much wasted by reluctant planning –

few visions of living ever leaving the station of
Excursion – like a dynasty of tempting brochures culminating in
tenure, that far more brave and less credentialed travel faithfully
outright...

Triumph's Reckless Youth vs Pompous Charted Night

such licensed surveyors expose dark by tiny bits called
stars, seeing only seconds, oblivious to stuffed longer
gigantic days' leaps packed into uncharted universes

time shallowly used is soul
and spirit only outside basted,

exterior roast__toast

while the bloody inside
left yearning release,
for its surface~ burning!

when time is too contemplated,
measured, set in plates of orderly
rations – seasoned but only tasted
(a belly denied lumps of glutenous
impulsive passions)

it is a written novel

with no real claims
to glory....

Time then...is only Time

dimly expressing God's timeless
true story

Joe, my Mum used to tell us : plans were made to be broken, spontaneity rarely disappoints. Fraid my personality discarded this belief, I am one of those people that plans even the smallest task. Enjoyed your poem, time is only time, to some there is never enough, and to some it moves way too slowly. Cheers

A wise mum; "the road less traveled..." -- but always a horse or donkey questioning such paths. Many must have objected to her daring-ways. Perhaps, were intimidated by her. But to be certain, each of us has to adhere to his or her own voice, no soul more valid than another. What we say more than how we say it, one of the things we will be judged by when punctuated by our creator.

- The time that disappears, where does it go? - And the time to come, where has it been? - Is it tangible and measurable? - It's life's great existential question, Joe :) - A poem that raises questions :) - hugs

Hi Sunshine. Time is space, distance...the distance between recognition, the time it takes to get to someplace else. As consciousness (awareness) increases, time begins to shorten -- not in the sense of speeding up...more like, fills-in. Sharpen our minds, quicken our ability to get from one place to another: then time becomes less and less relevant. Time is what we do not know, and where we have not been. At a place, like God, all knowing, ever present, time does not exist. Ouch!~ my head hurts:) A good example are dreams. When in spirit/mind, what the dreamer sees as hours of experience, the observing scientist records as a couple seconds of REM. Outside 3 dimensional reality, time does not exist. We are multidimensional beings. Far more than 3 or 4 if one includes space/time. Anyway~ my humble take on the subject...also, all the thought that went into creating my poem.

Wow... ! What depth and beauty ! Your style is unique and inimitable Joe. Even if I persevere a life time, I cannot write a poem like this. There is no need of comparisons...... Each one is unique. I forgot it for a while on reading your poem. :) Simply outstanding! "like a pie all crust can have space without filling it disappoints – " So true. This has brought a smile to me.

Thank you, Valsa; I know, it is difficult to keep up with even a few writers, especially those longer works which deserve careful reading and proper comment after deep consideration. The way I like to do it anyway. Blessings my friend. Have a great day!

Time measured --in plates of orderly rations... Much to think about your exploration on time my friend. If used wisely, as you suggest, perhaps there is success waiting on the other side. Intriguing write, Joe.
