Time Slip
While walking to my destination..
Headed west as usual..
Continued walking..
quickly turned at a nearby street..
Headed home..
No longer were my familiar surroundings..
Familiar..
Where is my home?
Did it simply vanish?
Nearby was a massive cherry blossom tree..
Sweet fragrance of cherry blossom tree explodes..
Streets that were once made of concrete..
Were now made of cobblestones..
Walking and glancing..
Feeling completely stunned
In shock I am
In disbelief I am..
Hypnotized I am..
By its absolute splendor..
Horses and buggy's..
Men, women, and children..
Dressed accordingly and appropriately
Women wearing stunning, full skirted dresses..
Flowing freely as they walk..
Accessorized with shawls.
Bonnets..
Gloves..
Men wearing tailor suits and trousers
Tall black top hats
Placed on their heads..
Warm smiles among..
Men, women, and children..
Along with laughter..
Children playing and skipping along..
The age of innocence
It is..
No smog exists..
No pollution exists..
Honeysuckle..
Invigorates my entire senses
I am completely absorbed in this moment in time
I am lost in a time warp..
Time indeed is warped..
I have slipped away..
A time slip it is..
Where time and space is of no significance..
Slipping away to the past..
With my present self..
Feeling, experiencing, feeding, my entire senses..
Of a different time
A different era..
Captivated I shall always remain..
In this precise moment in time..
Where modern meets victorian era..
In a time slip..
Where time and space blends perfectly..
All while walking home..
