Time Rests, Captured

Time rests, captured, embraced in a spell Two strangers search for each other Through corridors of time diligently seeking Encountering interruptions Wasting emotions, feigning love Engaging romances with counterfeit lovers Uttering superficial, superfluous words of Promised love and passion Through it all short-lived daring to dream Their hearts bleed the lingering pain Temporarily eased by useless entanglements Yet, their eternal flame burns deep! Time rests, captured, embraced in a spell Strangers they remain throughout the years Caught up in a time warp and Like two ships upon high seas sailing through deep fog Seeing but not seeing Crossing paths intermittently Crisscrossing through time and space and as One reaches the appointed place… idling The other running to somewhere, not knowing where Lonely, bewildered, adrift, moving forward, reaching Never knowing, never believing the compass set Yet, their eternal flame burns deep! Time rests, captured, embraced in a spell Two souls weary, exhausted from endless searching Never losing hope hidden within their hearts Incessantly, silently praying, moving closer ever closer As the stars align to the one moment in time When the dream weaver’s spell is broken Time once captured released, they meet and discover The power of love, passion so strong That just the thought of each other Triggers incredible highs, flooding hearts A smorgasbord of emotions explode Soul mates revealed, their eternal flame burns deep!

It is a joyful ending through a sad time process, and we give thanks for closure, for love speaks to things beyond desire ... and sweetly you tell of this invisible spell greater writer of the muse. I love it.

Great write in this one. Will they know that the other is the soul mate?? The question lingers. Keep the creative flow going through time and space. Sara

OOOHHH< this is so compelling, the feeling of the drifting and culminating in the final meeting, when the stars align(I used that image too in a similarly themed poem once) This is very good writing, my lady!! Do keep it up, and thanks for commenting on my latest poem. It WAS based on a one-night only love that is etched forever in my mind. LUv, andrea
