Time Flies

If I may say so, myself Time flies by too fast, Pausing not for itself Breathless and aghast, Always waves goodbye Never says fond howdy When noticing it, I say, Fleeting, gone already. Trying to catch up, note You’ll always be late You will miss the boat It’s everybody’s fate! Written June 1, 2022

The ephemeral quality of time is fascinating-it is always here, and yet always on the move. I enjoyed your poem a lot, Milton. :)

" Never says fond howdy" - I would like to hear time say this every morning, thus, I shall envision this now.
