Time-Burned Sighs

Moon-touched magnolias reach to the end of the drive, Beneath the heavy scent of midnight shade, I explore a last chance to keep love alive. You touch my face with words, and in my mind, I reach for a familiar hand to hold against my ache; one last breath to take, before my bones begin to cry.
