Thrown Away

You gave me the news today Told me to leave and stay away To error is human is what they say It's to bad you don't see it this way Yes you decided to throw me away Because I don't see everything your way You don't know how I feel, but you hope I agree That you should have nothing more to do with me So, once again I totally must disagree Even though you want nothing to do with me A mother's love you can't throw away I'll love you my daughter till my dying day

This is so true. I could see myself in the words of the rhyme. It's been nearly thirty years since that fateful day when my daughter walked away. The causes alive will aways be with me, just below the surface. The mistake was was mine, a judgement call I made, and for this I have paid.

Oh been there and done that. My daughters all thought I was the gestapo until they had kids of their own. Great job here. You speak for all parents when you write this. God Bless, JB

Ohh this is so sad- what a poignant write- it must hurt you so much to have one of your own reject you like this. But fear not love covers a multitude of wrong doing, cover her in prayer. Blessings, bren : )

My eyes filled with honey tears after reading your wonderful poem and my heart too filled with love to Mother. It's a great truth that no one can throw away Mother's love because She loves her children till death. Oh! how nice feeling it is. Loved, bl

Marvelous rhyme scheme. Your poem flows like liquid. Your message is made clear. Rejection is a painful cross to bear. In the end you triumph with spirit and you afford your reader the opportunity to triumph with you.

Awww, that's actually a very sad poem!I liked how are put the poem together! Kept going along that she threw you away, and didn't want you anymore, but you finally come to say you can't throw me away I'll love you my daughter til your dying day! Very well put, and still yet sad she won't accept you! My heart goes out to you Carol! Awesome Work!

Hi Carol, Reading the last 2 lines of this poem moved and shocked me. I can only imagine, as a mother myself, the pain I would feel. Regina
