Through Thick and Thin
« Finally my blood began to coagulate » (imagine that!)
New contest’s bloody theme by fellow Matt!
My instant fear that by the wicked fate
I would sure bleed to death right off the bat.
Once the quirky contest concept set in:
I got cold feet rising from blood loss trance,
Due to the side effects of aspirin,
There was no way I stood a second chance.
For the thicker denouement of a plot
I was thoughtfully placed in ICU,
Patiently waiting for my blood to clot,
Transfused with a good stranger’s kind, brand new.
Now you know how my bloody tall tale goes -
I made it live and on the other side -
From then on I’m obsessed with my blood flows
And damn me, curse me, cuss me if I lied.
Though in denial of any common sense,
I deem Judge Matt the master of suspense!
