Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, but one morning sun's gentle ray says things are not the same. Yes, I can remember when I first touched her in November. Now, it's just a dying ember, a memory of love's flame. I wonder, did she, my life, complete? These memories fly by so fleet, and can you please repeat. I forgot my name.

a poignant poem that 'spoke' to me.. Fleeting memories of those who leave our lives stay with us, seemingly forever.

Dear David, this poem is heart touching! Those we love indeed walk beside us everyday. We think about them all the time, don't we? The question in the last stanza is so true. Some people are like that, they just seem to complete you even when they don't stay in your life. You just end up missing them forever. You've written a beautiful poem. Best, Anne
