This Crazy Heart of Mine
My heart a sky of sunny spells
Of passing clouds and falling tears
Sometimes it shines Sometimes it rains
on our dried river and fading flames.
Sometimes its still as a night could be
At times it feels what it can't see
...and then it beats its rapid beat
Inhaling yesterdays Breathing the breeze
Sometimes an ocean in tides of blue
where silver linings of hope flow through
...And the beginning and end is you.
My heart a sky in shades of black
a married widow mourning life's death
Other times restless Mistress in bed
A pure desire of a newly wed.
My heart ...This heart... This crazy heart
At times so strong as old oak trees
At times so weak Down on its knees
Farther than distance Slower than time
Deeper than absence this heart of mine.
Sometimes like cinnamon scenting so sweet
Other times sour like rising yeast.
My heart...a sky of crimson spells
where all suns set in empty wells
My heart a sky where moons will hide
yet their last whispers your eyes will find
It seeks to reach all lonely hearts
and bliss them with soft blinking stars.
My heart This heart This crazy heart
which keeps on drumming its songs in rhyme
No matter how I try to silence it
It keeps on echoing a love sublime.
My heart This heart This heart of mine
It keeps on going to moments far
It keeps on showing me different faces
till I am back right where you are.
My heart This heart This crazy heart
keeps acting faster than my own mind.
It is a clown playing all games on me
This crazy heart This heart of mine.
