Thirst

Your words, they don't go unheard, they reside deep in my heart, where everything about you stays forever unparched. From the moment we met, I sensed something rare, compelled to explore, captivated by your flare. Soon, I realized you were the missing piece in my life, the way you make me feel, beyond riches or strife. Mistakes of the past, I wish I could undo, but their weight serves as a lesson, reminding me of you. The pain of losing you, like shattering each bone, etching it forever in memory, carved into stone. My days are now centered on how to keep you near, for losing you has become my deepest fear. You ask why I care now. Given the chance, I'll unveil my all, if you'll allow. No words can capture the depth of what I feel, but in my heart, your love is forever sealed. And your presence, my eyes find pleasure untold, I treasure your heart and mind, more valuable than gold. Tears my fall, for the wounds I've caused, it's fair, for the pain I brought on. Your love is like a warm bath to my soul, rejuvenating right down to the bone. I'm irrevocably in love, feeling its fiery embrace, let's always remember the roots of our love's cherished space. I'm learning the extent of the pain I've caused, seeing you through your emotions, feeling their weight, without pause. The roles have shifted, I now bear the weight alone, to love unrequited, like your heart is made of stone. Persistently, I pray you'll let me back in and once again, let's feel our connection. Until then, my love waits for your return where my feet stand firm, and my heart still yearns.
