THINKING OF YOU, DREAMING OF HOME

[Verse 1] I traveled the world, chasing the lights Raised glasses in cities that blurred into nights Paid the price for the show, the deal that I made The louder the cheers, the more I would fade [Verse 2] The crowds grew wild, the stages stood tall But silence backstage felt colder than all I smiled for the flash, I danced through the pain While love slipped away like tears in the rain [Chorus] Thinking of you, dreaming of home Glory means nothing when you’re all alone But I couldn’t stop—addicted to fame Blinded by pride, too numb to your pain [Verse 3] The sun always rose, hiding the night I drowned in the chords, forgot every fight The band was my blood, the tour was my drug Each sold-out crowd cost more of your love [Chorus – Variation] Thinking of you, dreaming of home Glory feels hollow when you’re on your own I tried to turn back, but couldn’t break free Trapped in the lights, too lost to see [Bridge] You called me back—said, “Please don’t delay” But I packed one more dream and flew anyway My head in the clouds when our child slipped away You needed my heart, but the road made me stray [Verse 4] Was I thinking of you? Was I dreaming of home? Or chasing a ghost I crafted alone? Now both of you gone, and all that remains Are songs full of love… and verses of shame [Final Chorus – Refrain / Outro] Thinking of you, dreaming of home Glory feels hollow when you die all alone Note: This one hits too close to home. Fortunately in real life I noticed in time.

Every emotional spilling as a result of one's real life, is a tale born from countless factors and emotions. It isn't easy for a poet to whittle down without losing/tainting impact. BUT MAN YOU SURE didn't because deliver impact, you did. I haven't the words right now to go on - I'm literally rushing, still absorbing the intoxicating lyric high I'm on. I felt this big time. You are very talented. I've seen you around but, but - I don't know the but. Yi. CayCay
