Things Change

Life shows us that in a moment things can change. And when they do relationships can turn strange. You always hope that things can be talked about. And making sure it was okay, if there ever was a doubt. But when the stress becomes a burden, some choose to go. But you hope it can be resolved, not come as an unexpected blow. But things don't always go as you think they should. Wanting someone to stay, hoping that they would. In defeat you find that you were so very wrong. About the love you thought was shared for so very long. That all that was professed was just something to say, and in reality, they didn't look back, as they walked away. I have made mistakes, not always proud to be me. Maybe being my friend, was never meant to be.
