I recall when folks thought When our teachers all taught When so many of us sought To grow up to be the next President Now things have changed You almost have to be rich Or a real son-of-a- No hope for the humble ~ or the hesitant

I guess I'm dating myself here, but neither Jimmy Carter nor Ronald Reagan (1980 election) was born with a silver spoon in his mouth... Oh well, that's almost 40 years ago now. (Seems like yesterday sometimes). :) gw
