Notes About The Poem

A royal line today, endears~  I feel hopeful flowing are my tears, whilst monks walk for peace —Quote by Poet

They Walk For Peace!

Simplicity brings them together
   They trudge with harmonious love
An indelible flash these birds of a feather
Sharing the path with the white dove
Solemnly saunter across the western world
Spanning the continent, they tour in rows
A peace march of ochre-orange parasols unfurled
Illuminating passage, flames of melodious flows
Embodying trails opaque, a still inertia within
The elements exposed, cloaked in dirt successive
Shallow robes of saffron drapes weathered skin
   Lanterns glow thru paths congestive
Miles of pavement ‘neath calloused bare feet
Lauded Buddhist Monks walk for peace
A simple task, that ill will cannot defeat a
                                                                          w
                                                                            a l k

                                                                                    f
                                                                                    o
                                                                                    r
                                                                             p
                                                                              e a c e
Owing to pirahnic complicity in large scales
Whose causes and effects abet imbalance
Those who fold together, the greediest fails
Unhinged acts of hate they’ll plant the seeds
Of unborn ominous events, giving life to malice
Consume like carrion crows, dirty deeds of vultures
To whom dine and drunk from the blooded chalice
And all who are alongside these canceled cultures
Only dark murmuration for these birds of a feather
Soon to slump by the wayside—they'll fall together

Sorry J. M. for accidentally deleting your comment. Yes I say our new leadership in my country, has contributed ominous criminal activity which may be Owings to the Peace Walk & certainly to the protests. I hear the Monks have done this act before..peace out _/\_

Anaya, there's quite a contrast between love and hate. Amazing description of good and evil. Hard to believe we need to focus on this today in the USA. Smiles!

And a thin line as well! It all still happens. I'm so touched by this reality, to walk for peace miles away from home, may the rest of their walk be a safe & sound one. Fingers crossed. Many thanks, belated TY, Duke! Smiling~

Dear Anaya, What I truly appreciate most is how you let the poem shift from reverence to warning without losing its center. It’s thoughtful, grounded, and unmistakably yours. We will continue praying for that Peace. Winter Blessings, Anaya, Daniel

Thx Daniel, I was overtaken by mental clarity. Within, my conscience was stirred, I felt so deeply moved & therefore spent my day describing the spiritual sojourners, on the other hand, yes I penned of the turmoil of men's greed & duplicity. A warning—perhaps, apathy in a democracy is complicity. Winter Blessings! :)

A peace quest for love, an eternal force, the rival of the dark and light on the side of serenity.

Yann, The Walk for Peace began on October 26, 2025, & is expected to conclude on February 12, 2026. The monks & one dog, are traveling 2,300 miles from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C.. I wish I could come upon their path & be touched. It would be a real blessing!
