They Say He's a Loser
Propaganda has stood the test of time
Seeping lies into desperate minds
People jump on bandwagons of hate
Worried and confused about their fate
A less glamorous expression 'fake news'
People don't care, they just want to accuse
With all the lies floating about
Means I prefer to remain in doubt
There's a grain of truth in every lie
A pre-prepared robust alibi
How are the likes of me supposed to know
How could I see through political stage show
I just think anyone trained to be a politician
Is enshrined in eternal perdition
They just want the power and the glory
Uncaring about the poor man's story
But listen to what the 'poor' men shout
They are voting them in, what's that about?
The whole thing is at odds, seems irredeemable
An honest politician seems inconceivable
This guy lost a tip of a finger that much is true
But it doesn't look like benefits did accrue
He's working class, that bit I liked
But the corruption leaves me a little less psyched
He's not president now, so that bits wrong
But he might be back before too long
He's not all bad from what I've read
There's likely a different version to be heard instead
Who knows how perceptions are formed
With media corruption leaving us ill informed
Popularity and following the crowd
Listening to who shouts loud
Quiet contemplation, check out alternate views
Don't rely on what is on the news
I choose to stay away from politics
There's less futile ways to get your kicks
