These Evil I's

Evil eyes Why are you watching me Your bad intentions A blind man can see Eyes that scream out Veil nasty words Has its own claw Ripping to the bones Evil eyes Wicked and wild Tell me what you want Who will hurt and die What’s the anger Is it the way I look Don’t take me lightly I’m no feather in your book Evil eyes Stay away from me I’m no fighter No friend or enemy But if you cross me A battle will ensue Who knows the measure Heaven's long overdue Evil eyes Curse no more Divine protection Covers me in GOD With love power You're a broken spell Get back demon Fire burn you in hell

Hmmm Evil Eyes. I wonder. Often the evil we see is general found in one's OWN eyes and one's OWN mind. People see what they want to see. If they don't see what they are looking for they look until they find it. A good write though. Very fitting for the Halloween season. God Bless my friend. JB

Yes, you're right...otherwise it's not possible to see in the first place...but like a stronger man subduing a weaker... some people can project their darkness on to other souls... Thank you Judy...loved your comment...

Well, quite a poem, Arturo. The Evil Eye was something my parents and grandparents believed in. All sorts of charms and prayers for protection. Vibrations set in motion by the heart with soulful feelings are very real. God and you are a majority no evil thought can withstand. Great writing my friend!

Like a stronger man can overcome a weaker, there's dark powers out there that can overtake you...physically or spiritually...so you have to be vigilant and in the power of GOD

Arturo I loved this poem - there are evil I's who have evil eyes but God and a cloak of love certainly protects you! In the Greek tradition and even in the Greek Orthodox religion the evil eye plays a big part. Priests come and bless your home, some churches have an evil eye painted in their dome which in fact wards off evil thoughts and jealousy. Greek people wear a small blue stone with an evil eye which is worn with pendant or a bracelet, again warding off anything or anyone evil. Hugs Jen
