There Are Such Things - Sometimes
There is a heart-shaped hole in my chest;
Where started a life-long love quest;
So many mistakes, so many non-friends;
Where to begin, where to begin.
Loved and lost so many times,
A mockery to me is Valentine's.
How vulnerable was I, how sentimental,
Life has left me almost cynical.
Heart shaped chocolates coat the hole,
Sweet music, sunny days can make me whole;
Happy Valentine's Day to lovers true,
There are such things, I've known a few.
